Water Services (KWS) was established with the vision
to be the leading private sector supplier of bulk
quality potable water at competitive & sustainable
prices to industries, housing compounds etc.
KWS has
invested in the latest state of the art
desalination technology "Seawater Reverse
Osmosis (SWRO) Process
KWS is
presently operating below give desalination plants
with water filling station on Build Operate Own
(BOO) and Built Operate Transfer (BOT) basis:

14,000 m3/day SWRO desalination plant located
inside Jeddah
Islamic Port(JIP) on BOO and partial BOT basis.

25,500
m3/day SWRO desalination plant located inside JIP on BOO
basis
-
10,000 m3/day SWRO desalination
plant for Saudi Airlines for Saudia City on BOT
basis
To
fulfill the growing demand of potable water & ensure
water is made available to various industries door,
KWS has undertaken the following expansion projects:

Increase in capacity of 25,000 m3/day SWRO
desalination plant to 34,000 m3/day.

increase the
potable water storage tanks capacities from
28,000 m3 to 58,0000 m3
-
Potable water transfer pipeline
extension of 24.5 KM long from Jeddah Refinery
Star Round About Circle to South Corniche.

Potable water transfer pipeline
extension of 10.2 KM long from JIP gate No. 9 to
Jeddah Industrial City Phase 2
KWS
future plan is to participate and invest in the
privatization of the water and waste water
industries within Saudi Arabia and abroad including
production of Process Water.
KWS's
has installed the SWRO desalination plant training
simulation software so that
the Saudi's can be trained and certified as
Desalination Operators, thereby ensuring boosting of
the national economy and the development of Saudi
nationals.
KWS has
obtained ISO 9001:2000 accreditation fir Quality
Management System in March 2006.
